Complimentary dining at the Oceanview Cafe, the ship's buffet, was available for three meals daily, plus late-night snacks. We started most evenings here, enjoying a cocktail and listening to live music before having dinner. I thought cocktails were reasonably priced at less than $9 each. Some cruisers staying in these cabins have reported noises of things like chairs being moved. This shouldn’t be a big problem, as the buffet isn’t open late into the night but it may be something to bear in mind. The basic design has remained the same, such as the position of the sofa and bed but the furnishings and colours have been updated.

Celebrity Silhouette Cabins
Passengers staying in Celebrity Cruises Silhouette’s Concierge Class cabins enjoy perks like welcome bubbly, fresh fruit and flowers, daily snacks, a pillow menu (upon request), and a massaging showerhead. Concierge passengers also get free access to a couple of exclusive events and priority restaurant seating. Standard singles, insides, balconies and ocean views feature gently undulating light-brown walls; two twin beds that can be made into a queen and two bedside tables.

Many guests like to stop by in the evening for one of the specialty dessert cocktails, and chat about a great meal that they had or a wonderful show they just enjoyed. With an atmosphere inspired by ice and snow, the enchanting frosted bar is the place to be in the heart of the "coolest" setting on the ship. An absolute must-visit for its hip and classy feel, swing by The Martini Bar and grab a drink before dinner or make a night of it. This bar has a vibe like no other, which makes it the perfect spot to chill out with friends all night long. Celebrity Reflection, the final Solstice-class ship, would follow in 2012. The Martini Bar is a favorite spot overlooking the atrium. Quasar is a retro night club, while Entertainment Court Bar, another new spot, is adjacent, offering cocktails. The Retreat Lounge, also new and just for suite guests, took over the spot where Michael’s Club once was. The dining options that are included in your Celebrity Silhouette cruise fare are totally delicious and more than enough to get you through a cruise without boring you. However, if you’re in the mood to splurge, you also won’t be sorry if you pay for the specialty dining.

Silhouette was designed to be eco-friendly, with numerous dining venues, green grass covering the deck area and glass marble luxury. She was the first Celebrity Cruises ship with the themed Porch restaurant, Lawn Club Grill (with Alcoves and Art Studio) and Hideaway adults-only retreat. Guests in Suite Class cabins (excluding Junior Suites) enjoy complimentary dining (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) at the new Luminae restaurant located on Plaza Deck 3 (lobby deck, aft-starboard). You’ll find plenty of entertainment and activities to enjoy aboard Celebrity Silhouette. The theater on Decks 4 and 5 offers a mix of musicals and comedy, with an impressive level of production and talent. Daily programming ranges from classes to demos, seminars to art auctions, games to game shows.

On this cruise, we skipped the activities and instead focused on the musical offerings and shows around the ship. It's worth a visit even if just to walk barefoot in the grass while floating in the middle of the ocean. It has no librarian, and taking and returning books is on the honor system.

We went to this show on our first night and ordered regular martinis since we arrived early but were charged $40 for two. The following cabins to avoid were provided by guests who cruised on the Celebrity Silhouette. Guests are also able to use the onboard TV to check their onboard account, as well as watching multiple TV channels.
This private restaurant—open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner—features a boldly elegant design as distinctive as its cuisine. Not only is the restaurant exclusive, but so are its menus. I rarely choose to stay in outside/oceanview cabins but have on occasion.
The lunch buffet was outstanding with multiple stations and plenty of food choices to accommodate special diets and allergies. But in my opinion, previous cruises on this ship had a better evening buffet. On this sailing, more than half of the buffet was shut down during the evening.
Celebrity do have cabins designed specifically for solo cruisers, all are inside cabins. The inside cabins on the Celebrity Silhouette start at a size of 17 meters squared. The main reason why cruisers book inside cabins is because of the cheap price but some people also book them because they enjoy the darkness that is gained by not having any windows.
